"FOR REBELLION IS AS THE SIN OF WITCHCRAFT,
and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.
BECAUSE THOU HAST REJECTED THE WORD OF THE LORD
he hath also rejected thee from being king"
REBELLION
-open, organized, and armed resistance to one's government or ruler.
-resistance to or defiance of any authority, control, or tradition.
Rebellion needs to be exposed for what it is (evil, wicked, sin)!
Who determines sin, man or God? God does!
God commands us to refute (Greek: elencho, “to expose, correct”) all works of darkness;
"And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove (correct) them"
Ephesians 5:11 (KJV) Matthew Henry Commentary
"Rather than have fellowship with them (sinners), we must reprove (rebuke, correct, reprimand, expose), them,
implying that if we do not reprove the sins of others we have fellowship with them.
We must prudently and in our places witness against the sins of others,
and endeavour to convince them of their sinfulness" - (Matthew Henry, Minister, Author, 1662-1714)
"Rebellion always begins in the heart. Rebellion against God’s authority was humanity’s first sin (Genesis 3) and continues to be our downfall. Our sinful natures do not want to bow to the authority of another, even God. We want to be our own bosses, and that rebellion in the human heart is the root of all sin."
"THESE SIX THINGS DOTH THE LORD HATE:
yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren"
"FOR THOU ART NOT A GOD THAT HATH PLEASURE IN WICKEDNESS:
neither shall evil dwell with thee.
The foolish shall not stand in thy sight:
THOU HATEST ALL WORKERS OF INIQUITY.
Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing:
the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man"
"YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL,
and the lusts of your father ye will do.
He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth,
because there is no truth in him.
When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own:
for he is a liar, and the father of it"
“For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord,
EVERY knee shall bow to me,
and EVERY tongue shall confess to God”
"The Lord is longsuffering, and of great mercy,
FORGIVING INIQUITY AND TRANSGRESSION,
AND BY NO MEANS CLEARING THE GUILTY,
visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation"
(generational curses)
"If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ,
LET HIM BE ANATHEMA (accursed) MARANATHA"
"WOE UNTO THEM THAT CALL EVIL GOOD AND GOOD EVIL;
that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

"IN FLAMING FIRE TAKING VENGEANCE ON THEM THAT KNOW NOT GOD,
and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
WHO SHALL BE PUNISHED WITH EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION
from the presence of the Lord,
and from the glory of his power"
" Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord God,
I HAVE NO PLEASURE IN THE DEATH OF THE WICKED;
but that the wicked turn from his way and live:
turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways;
for why will ye die,..."
God commands us “to” judge and expose every kind of evil and wickedness, workers of iniquity, sin and sinners. Though, Christ commands us to judge “righteously”, not based on opinion, but on what God sees as being unrighteous and unGodly.
"FOR IF WE SIN WILLFULLY after that we have received the knowledge of the truth,
there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation,
WHICH SHALL DEVOUR THE ADVERSARIES.
He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:
Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy,
who hath trodden under foot the Son of God,
and hath counted the blood of the covenant,
wherewith he was sanctified, AN UNHOLY THING,
and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?"
"FOR OUR TRANSGRESSIONS (violations, sins)
are multiplied before thee,
AND OUR SINS TESTIFY AGAINST US:
for our transgressions are with us;
and as for our iniquities (gross injustice or wickedness),
WE KNOW THEM;
IN TRANSGRESSING AND LYING AGAINST THE LORD,
and departing away from our God,
SPEAKING OPPRESSION AND REVOLT,
conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood"
"The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
BUT THE EXPECTATION OF THE WICKED SHALL PERISH"
be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks,
THOUGH THEY BE A REBELLIOUS HOUSE.
And thou shalt speak my words unto them,
whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear:
But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee;
BE NOT THOU REBELLIOUS LIKE THAT REBELLIOUS HOUSE:
"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge,
GOD GAVE THEM OVER TO A REPROBATE MIND,
REPROBATE MIND
-a depraved, unprincipled, or wicked person:
(a drunken reprobate)
-a person rejected by God and beyond hope of salvation.
"LET THE WICKED FORSAKE HIS WAY,
AND THE UNRIGHTEOUS MAN HIS THOUGHTS:
and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him;
and to our God,
FOR HE WILL ABUNDANTLY PARDON"
"Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity,
and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage?
he retaineth not his anger for ever,
BECAUSE HE DELIGHTETH IN MERCY"
IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN DILIGENTLY UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD,
to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day,
that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee,
IF THOU SHALT HEARKEN UNTO THE VOICE OF THE LORD THY GOD"
Deuteronomy 28:1-68 (KJV) Matthew Henry Commentary
"I tell you, Nay:
but, except ye REPENT (stop sinning),
ye shall ALL likewise perish"
Jesus Christ, Luke 13:3 (KJV) - Matthew Henry Commentary
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted,
THAT YOUR SINS MAY BE BLOTTED OUT,
when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord"
Acts 3:19 (KJV) - Matthew Henry Commentary
“But the FEARFUL, and UNBELIEVING, and the ABOMINABLE, and MURDERERS,
and WHOREMONGERS, and SORCERERS, and IDOLATERS, and all LIARS,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death”
Revelation 21:8 (KJV)- Matthew Henry Commentary

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness;
but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish,
BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE”
2 Peter 3:9 (KJV) - Matthew Henry Commentary
