The pursuit of the Holy Spirit is the proof of your desire for the Holy Spirit.

Keys to Being Transformed by the Holy Spirit

1. Whatever the Holy Spirit Breaks, You Are Empowered to Remove (Jn 8:36).

Our responsibility as Christians is to act upon the victories God grants us and remove whatever God highlights in our lives.

2. The Holy Spirit Will Make No Difference in Someone Who is Indifferent to Him.

Many Christians have the Holy Spirit within but don’t have intimacy or reverence. As a result, indifference is developed. Indifference to the Holy Spirit will lead to irreverence to the Holy Spirit.

3. The Holy Spirit Will Transform Those Who Take Him In

The Bible says, “Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart” (Psalm 37:4).

If you begin to invite the Holy Spirit into your daily life and choose not to be indifferent to Him, you will see His blessing in your life.

When sin happens, don’t seek relief; seek repentance.

Conviction vs. Condemnation

1. Conviction is specific; condemnation is general.

Conviction says, “You spoke harshly to your wife.”

Condemnation says, “You are a worthless husband.”

2. Conviction attacks the issue; condemnation attacks your identity.

3. Conviction is from the Holy Spirit; condemnation is from the devil.

4. Conviction gives you hope; condemnation makes you hopeless.

The Holy Spirit convicts, but condemnation is the opposite.

It makes you feel like you are a loser, a failure, and like you can’t change.

5. Conviction leads to repentance; condemnation leads to remorse.

All Christians have the Holy Spirit, but not all Christians walk in the Spirit.

SOUND DOCTRINE

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 2 Timothy 4:3

Sound doctrine is the unchanging truth about God and the gospel. Some doctrines are designed just to sound pleasant, focusing on what people want to hear and what they'll pay for. However, even these can contain bits of truth. There are different types of people who communicate doctrine:

1. Charlatans: These people trick others to promote their ideas for personal gain. They alter their message to appeal to their audience. They're after power and profit. For example, Paul saw the false teachers in Ephesus as charlatans.

2. Marketers: These are sellers of religious ideas who know how to make their ideas appealing. They might change their message a bit to sell it, but they also genuinely want to serve their audience.

3. Contextualizers: These people aim to make the message understandable while preserving its integrity. They're sincere and care more about their listeners than their own gain, like missionaries who communicate across cultural boundaries.

Calling is not a career. Your calling is discovered and is supernatural. It does not change.
